Kid-friendly restaurants in Aspen Snowmass
Aspen and Snowmass attract numerous tourists due to their spectacular attractions like Aspen Mountains and Maroon Bells, or because of the local activities.
Aspen is widely known for the local Food & Wine Classic event, which is organized every year in June. For a better experience, restaurants are combining the most famous cuisines, like Asian, Mediterranean, European and American.
But what if you travel with kids? Don’t panic. Because there are a lot of places to eat on a budget in Aspen and Snowmass. See my six recommendations.
Located just 3 minutes away from the Aspen Art Museum, 520 Grill is one of the affordable restaurants in the city. Also, it’s a great place for kids to enjoy a fast and friendly meat or a veggie burger, Baja tacos and more.
The restaurant has a casual design and assures that all the dishes are fresh and healthy.
A legendary restaurant located at the base of the Elk Mountains, Pine Creek Cookhouse has promoted itself as a gourmet restaurant. Your children will be excited about the culinary experience.
Children and parents have the opportunity to take a horse-drawn sleigh ride to the Cookhouse. The restaurant offers a special menu for kids that consists of grilled cheese, chicken, rainbow trout, tofu and more.
What food does make the kids happier if not fast food? CP Burger is located near the Silver Circle Ice Rink at the bottom of Aspen Mountains. Besides burgers, it offers healthy salads, yogurt, and fresh milkshakes.
CP Burger isn’t just a restaurant that serves delicious food. They are also taking care of the children’s fun time. In the winter season, families have the opportunity to enjoy skating on the ice rink near the restaurant. And in the summer season, they can watch their children play golf.
The perfect place for children’s pizza time in Aspen is perhaps the Limelight Lounge, while parents should try the Osso Buco – a combination of lamb, sprouts and mushroom risotto.
The lounge is part of the Limelight Hotel and is located at the bottom of Aspen Mountains. In case you want to organize a family party, the hotel will take care of your preferences. Children will be happy to learn cooking and admire the surroundings from the rooftop, while as a parent, you will have time to enjoy a good wine.
A casual restaurant that serves “sure-to-please wraps”. As a parent, you shouldn’t miss the “What’s Up Doc?”, which consists of hummus, veggies, sprouts, lettuce, feta and garlic yogurt.
For children, I’d recommend tacos, healthy chips, and fresh smoothies. The restaurant is open from Monday to Saturday and accepts only cash and checks.
The restaurant is designed as a log cabin. At breakfast, kids will enjoy the French toast and pancakes, while parents are encouraged to taste the Huevos Rancheros and the ribs are some of the best you will every taste.
The Hickory House is open daily, between 8 AM and 9 PM, with a break from 2:30 PM to 5 PM.
Don’t limit your preferences to only these six restaurants. Aspen is a great place both for children and parents. Get informed before traveling there and don’t hesitate to make your children smile.
