Skiing with Kids in Aspen Snowmass
Are you planning a trip to the Aspen Snowmass area for a family ski vacation and want to know more about the mountain? Keep reading because I’ll give you an overview of the four different mountains you can ski with one pass.
Aspen Mountain – This is the main ski area, and is located right in town. This mountain host tracks of all types and levels of difficulty, from the simplest to very steep.
Buttermilk – is known for hosting the Xgames don’t let this scare you because it has gentle slopes, there are many courses for beginners and advanced. Hundreds of kids have learned how to ski on Panda Peak. The ski & snowboard school has created programs for the perfect mix of playtime with ski instruction for young children, and a high-quality child care for infants and toddlers ages 8 weeks to 4 years. There are so many programs dedicated to kids, child care, summer camp and our world-class facility — The Hideout.
Snowmass – is a beautiful mountain all with amazing family activities. Everything your kids may need to have fun and to learn something more about the skiing world, nature and interaction are located here at Snowmass. Ski & Snowboard Schools created programs add the perfect mix of playtime with ski instruction for young children, as well as high-quality child care for infants and toddlers ages 8 weeks to 4 years. There are so many programs dedicated to kids, child care, summer camp and our world-class facility — the Treehouse Kids Adventure Center.
New this year is the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster both young and old will get a thrill on this ride that is over a mile long. It’s located near Elk Camp restaurant which is a must if you are in Snowmass.
Highlands – Is loved by the locals because it has the bowl. In order to get to the bowl first, you must hike 45 minutes after the grueling hike you will be rewarded with excellent train make sure you are an expert skiing for this run. Often times you can find a run all to yourself on this mountain.
