Travel Tip Thursday – Travel-friendly snacks and recipes
Are you a passionate traveler? If you are always on the road and feel the need for quick snacks, I’ll give you some examples of travel-friendly and healthy eats.
Avocado and Tomato Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
If you’re tired of simple and unhealthy sandwiches, try adding avocado and tomato. These ingredients will give you the necessary energy you need for the next few hours of exploration. Avocado is a fruit that contains numerous beneficial vitamins for the human body.
I recommend you to put them on a grill pan for one minute at home and then wrap them in a paper to absorb the oil and moisture. Sandwiches are delicious even when you eat them cold.
Almond Date Bars
It’s a light, tasty and healthy snack. You will fall in love with the process of preparing these delicious crackers. All you need to do is to mix the following ingredients: almonds, dried apples, flaked coconut, honey, salt and crispy rice cereals. Combine and shake the ingredients until the composition is finely chopped and then pulverize with cooking spray over the baked biscuits.
These delicious muffins can serve as a dessert on your journey. They are easy to prepare and the result is a tasty and healthy one. To prepare it, you will need the following ingredients: almond flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, almond paste, sugar, butter, vanilla extract, eggs, milk, raspberry jam and sliced almonds.
Cheesy Kale Chip Popcorn
This tasty snack will quench your salty appetite and will not make you feel bloated. To prepare this vegan relish you will need coconut oil, organic popcorn kernels, crispy kale chips, nutritional yeast flakes, salt and garlic powder.
The preparation will take around 15 minutes.
Spiced Honey-Tahini Cookies
These crisp snacks will satisfy your sweet appetite. They are light, tasty and always available for a quick taste. To prepare them you will need sesame seeds, almond flour, baking soda, sea salt, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, honey, tahini and vanilla extract.
Take a bowl and mix the almond flour, baking soda, salt, and spices. In another bowl combine the honey, tahini, and vanilla. Then combine the compositions and using a small scoop make balls ready to be transferred on the baking sheets. Bake the cookies around 8 minutes and that’s all!
The preparation takes around 18 minutes.
Sweet and Salty Banana Chips
A healthy snack that will leave you pleasantly surprised by its taste. The method of preparation is funny and interactive. First of all, you need to cut the bananas into slices – but make sure these are not too thick – after that, you can press them with a little pepper according to your preferences. This ingredient will give them a surprising taste.
Put the cut slices into brown sugar, and, before introducing them in the oven, add some oil on the top of them. The result will be a delicious and unexpected snack perfect for fast trips.
What are your favorite snacks you take with you on your trips?
