Travel Tip Thursday – What To Do With a Long Layover in San Francisco
There are times when you are forced to have long layovers in different cities. You just can’t do anything to prevent it. So why shouldn’t we do something to like layovers? It would be a pity to sit on a chair with your phone in your hand and wait for your flight. Why should you do this when you can live your life to the fullest?
It is best to start visiting the city you are in. Yes, that’s right. The city we are talking about is called San Francisco. Under no circumstances should you miss out on any chance to visit it! If you have a break from 4 hours upwards, I have some ideas to make your layover an unforgettable one!
- Eat – Maybe it doesn’t sound so fun but believe me, San Francisco’s airport has plenty of fine dining restaurants to choose from. The surrounding restaurants also offer local dishes of all kinds. They’re very tasty. TripAdvisor has helped me provide a list of the best restaurants in San Francisco. Click HERE!
- Relax – After a long flight, you don’t want anything more than relaxation. San Francisco Airport knows its customers very well, so it’s specially equipped to give you your well-deserved relaxation! Therefore, you can choose from four Spa areas called XpresSpa. You have the map HERE. Also, if you want to relax through yoga, the airport also has this “superpower”. You can find the locations of the yoga halls at this ADDRESS.
- Discover the city – Of course, going to explore the city is a must. Surely you will not have time to visit all the beauties from San Francisco, but you can at least try.
The subway is directly connected to the airport, so you can travel very easy. I recommend seeing the Golden Gate Bridge, which is a San Francisco’s symbol. Its beauty is unparalleled.
If you are a person who wants to see a lot of amazing places, you can try to explore The Mission. This city offers you the best coffee and the best food of the locals!
Also, if you’re a shopaholic, then your destination must be Union Square! There you find dozens of stores with all sorts of clothes, accessories and more, much more!
San Francisco is surely a big city, it’s full of places that can take your breath away and it can easily become an addiction! One thing is for sure, San Francisco should never be just a layover, it should be your destination!
